Official Rules & Terms
Last updated: November 2025
These rules are here to protect you, your work, and the integrity of the POWER&FULL creator funding competition. By submitting an application, you agree to the terms on this page.
1. Overview
POWER&FULL is a creator funding competition awarding $150,000 across multiple storytellers. Funding is awarded as:
- 1 Grand Winner — $50,000
- 2 Level-Up Winners — $25,000 each
- 2 Rising Visionary Winners — $15,000 each
- 4 Creator Micro-Grants — $5,000 each
Winners also receive mentorship, accountability support, and a premiere screening at POWER&FULL Fest.
This is not a lottery or sweepstakes. Winners are selected based on merit by judges and, where applicable, public voting.
2. Eligibility
To enter POWER&FULL, you must:
- Be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your region).
- Own or fully control the rights to the idea, script, footage, and creative materials submitted.
- Be able to complete the project using the awarded funds if selected as a winner.
- Submit original work that does not infringe on any third-party rights.
You may not enter if:
- Your content is pornographic, hateful, defamatory, or promotes violence, harm, or discrimination.
- You are an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of the POWER&FULL core organizing team where such participation would create a conflict of interest.
3. Entry Fee
The application fee for POWER&FULL Season 1 is $75 (USD), paid securely via Stripe.
- The fee is non-refundable.
- The fee remains non-refundable even if your project is not selected, or if you withdraw after submission.
- Entry fees help fund the creator awards, festival production, and operational costs for running the competition.
4. Submission Requirements
To be considered, each applicant must submit a complete application including:
- 2–4 page treatment (PDF) outlining your story and vision.
- A 5-minute visual sample — this may be a proof-of-concept, key scene, trailer, or pitch video.
- A budget breakdown showing how you intend to use the requested funds.
- A creative intent / director's statement explaining your POV, audience, and impact.
- Optional: Team list, bio, and links to past work.
Submissions must be completed between Dec 1, 2025 and Feb 28, 2026. Late or incomplete applications may not be reviewed.
5. Rights & Ownership
You retain full ownership of your project and all related intellectual property. POWER&FULL does not claim exclusive rights to your work.
By submitting, you grant POWER&FULL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
- Review your materials for the purpose of judging.
- Display excerpts, stills, and artwork in connection with the competition, festival, and marketing.
- Showcase your project if selected as a finalist or winner during the POWER&FULL program.
This license does not transfer ownership and does not grant POWER&FULL ongoing distribution rights outside of the competition and related promotion without your additional consent.
6. Judging Process
Submissions are first reviewed by the POWER&FULL team for completeness and eligibility. Eligible projects are then evaluated by judges.
Judges consider factors such as:
- Strength of story and concept.
- Originality and distinct creative voice.
- Execution of the visual sample.
- Feasibility of completing the project with the requested budget.
- Potential audience impact and cultural relevance.
Finalists may be included in a public voting phase. Public votes contribute to final scoring but do not replace judge review. POWER&FULL may remove fraudulent or automated votes at its discretion.
All judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
7. Awards & Funding
POWER&FULL intends to award a total of $150,000 in funding for Season 1, distributed as:
- 1 Grand Winner — $50,000
- 2 Level-Up Winners — $25,000 each
- 2 Rising Visionary Winners — $15,000 each
- 4 Creator Micro-Grants — $5,000 each
Funding may be released in milestone stages (for example: initial grant, mid-project check-in, and final delivery). Specific terms may be outlined in a separate agreement with each winner.
Funds are expected to be used primarily for project-related costs: crew, cast, equipment, locations, post-production, and relevant travel.
8. Disqualification
POWER&FULL reserves the right to:
- Disqualify any applicant who violates these rules.
- Remove any entry that infringes on third-party rights.
- Disqualify projects that involve fraud, plagiarism, or false information.
- Withhold funds if a winner misuses the award or fails to make reasonable progress.
In all such cases, the application fee remains non-refundable.
9. Communication & Privacy
By submitting, you agree to receive emails about your application, judging updates, and POWER&FULL announcements. You may opt out of general marketing emails at any time, but transactional emails related to your entry may still be required.
Your submission materials are stored securely and accessed only by authorized judges and team members. We do not sell your personal data.
10. Changes to These Terms
POWER&FULL may update these rules if necessary to maintain fairness, safety, or legal compliance. The most current version will always be posted on this page.
